Main Maike Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo is a comedy drama which is being aired on Sony Entertainment Television. It premiered on the 11th of September, 2018. The name of the serial is probably inspired from the song ‘Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kate’ from the Bollywood blockbuster movie Bobby which was released in the year 1973. The movie was one of the top-grossing movies of those times and the song “Main Maike Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo’ was a hot favourite then.
Well, coming back to our serial, actors Namish Taneja and Srishti Jain would be seen portraying the roles of Samar and Jaya. The serial shows Jaya as a wedding planner, who happens to meet Samar while planning his sister’s wedding. The story progresses as these two fall in love and decide to get married.
Things become difficult when their mothers meet. Actress Nelu Waghela plays the role of Satya Devi Sharma, Jaya’s mother and Aditi Deshpande portrays the character of Rama Gauri Shankar Surana, Samar’s mother. Both these mothers have conflicting personalities. Being a divorce lawyer herself, Satya Devi believes that a relationship should be cut off immediately if it hurts. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Rama is a much more sensible person and knows how to work on relationships and hold on to them under unfavourable circumstances.
After these love birds get married, the problems start arising in their lives because of Satya Devi’s interference. Satya literally wants to take control of her daughter’s life which brings in a lot of troubles and creates a lot of misunderstandings between the couple.
The story progresses as Jaya tries to balance her relationship with her maayka and sasuraal. Will she emerge victorious? Or will she get carried away by her mother’s thoughts? Will her relationship with her husband continue to be turbulent or will she learn to mend broken relationships from her mother-in-law?
